Move, scout, commit

  1. Move your Giant toward the next team task: a lane fight, a defensive position or an objective. Your army can follow between these areas.
  2. Detach a smaller group to scout a contested area when you need information before committing the army.
  3. Send a charge toward the fight you want to take.
  4. Redirect the charge when the useful direction changes, rather than assuming the first order must remain final.

Give the army a job

Soldiers matter both in combat and when taking objectives. Before moving into a contested space, decide whether you need scouting, direct pressure, or resource collection. Keeping that purpose clear makes the new command options easier to learn than issuing every order at once.

Special armies have exceptions. Wolfgang’s werewolves cannot be recalled or redirected. Ossuary’s Ghost Soldiers can pass through walls but cannot be recalled after deployment. Do not assume every Giant’s army uses the same control rules.

Soldiers can collect Merits and Supplies. Supplies also support Battleworks, including Soldier Drop, which brings additional Soldiers directly to your position. Consider the troop and construction decisions together when your team is preparing a push.

Practise around a real objective

Use an Army Camp as a concrete rotation decision: your team can benefit from resources and vision, while destroying an enemy camp awards an Augment Point. Bring the army because the objective matters, rather than roaming without a next task.

The build paths guide covers the Soldier investment route. If you are still learning the match, return to the beginner guide for the two-Bastion win condition and the order in which to learn each system.
