Elaris makes the choice visible

Elaris is a mobile ranged damage dealer who can specialize in basic attacks or long-range abilities. Those are two different directions for the same Giant. Decide which part of her kit you want to emphasize before combining purchases around a single goal.

Recommended builds offer a starting point for each Giant while leaving room for experimentation. For a useful first comparison, keep the Giant the same and change the direction you are testing. Notice whether the choice helps the fights and objectives you are actually taking, rather than treating every purchase as an upgrade to every part of the kit.

Soldier builds need Soldier decisions

An army-focused route puts more importance on how you move, scout and redirect charges. Read Soldier control alongside the build choice. The army can also collect Merits and Supplies, connecting your movements to Battlework deployments.

Items and Augments solve different choices

Army Camps offer shop access without Recall. Destroying an enemy camp awards an Augment Point, and Augments change ability properties such as range, area, duration or projectile count. Keep that ability modification separate from your item investment path.

A first-match plan can stay simple: pick an available Giant, use its recommended build, and choose one direction to explore. The beginner guide connects that build to the objective that ends the match: destroying two enemy Bastions.
